コーディネート：雨の日いろいろ

雨が降っているとレインブーツを履き、レインブーツを履くとなるとスキニーパンツ。
スキニーパンツを履くとなると大きなお尻を隠したいので長めのトップス。
という具合にいつもワンパターンです。
でもこのレインブーツのお陰で少し楽しくなった雨の日。

＜その１＞
娘の参観日。と言っても澄ました顔して後ろで見ているようなものではありません。一緒に工作して、ホールで身体を動かすイベントが盛りだくさん。
しゃがんだ時に背中や下着が見えてしまうのは絶対に避けたいので、長めトップスは正解でした。
このワンピース、キャサリン妃のコーディネートを集めた本に載っていてびっくり。スタイル抜群の彼女は膝上のワンピースを単品で美しく着こなしていました。

＜その２＞

週末、車に乗って買い物。この生地は濡れると目立つので外を歩く雨の日には着れません。透け感があって一見涼しそうですが、化学繊維だからか実はそうでもない。ちょっと肌寒いかな、くらいがちょうどいい。

家に引きこもった平日。外出は子供たちの送り迎えとお使いのみ。

＜その４＞

土砂降りの平日。去年、このレインブーツと同じ時期に購入したポンチョ。園バスの乗降地点まで少し距離があるので娘の通園が始まってからは買って本当に良かった。レインコートよりポンチョの方が中に鞄もかけられるし、冬はダウンの上から着ることができます。柄はいろいろと迷いましたが、キャンプの時にも使うのと雨の日は明るい色の方がいいかな、と思いこちらにしました。

What I Wore : On Rainy Days

When you live in a very dense place like Japan, especially in the cities and suburbs, most of us are pedestrians.  Yes, we do have a car, but when there is only one parking lot for the local post office (very luck there is even one), the super market and the pharmacy don't share a parking lot, you will most likely not be driving to go around these places.  AND especially if all three are within 10 minutes of walking distance from your house.

Just to give you a glimpse of how things are around here.

So, each household will have at least one umbrella for each family member, maybe the same amount of extras, and another set of the portable type.  

Thankfully, rain boots have become very popular and stylish, and same goes for raincoats.  They are a must have for me, when I need to walk my two kids to where the pre-school bus stops.  

On days when it's not raining too hard, I try to enjoy wearing my rain boots, although I always end up combining them with my black skinnies.
